I always come away from all of these stories feeling really bad for the Woz. :(

Dude is awesome, I hope he's happy. He seems like he is.

Anyway, Jobs must be an epic douche in person.

Google phone is for fags.

(BTW - I'm not hatin' on gays. "Fags" in this context refers to stupid or foolish people. NOT chicks that munch rugs or dudes who like tickling prostates.)

It really is. Devs can already add ads to their free aps right now, and they do. Why does Apple have to actively incentivize it?

I got an HTC Desire this week. No Apple and only indirect google intereference with my phone.
I agree that Android is the way to go at the moment, since it is open, powerful and versatile, it's Linux after all.
However, I have no doubt there'll be A4-sized Android-running pads on the market later this year.

The iPhone is certainly capable of supporting Flash, but it is not likely to ever do so. Nor should it. In fact Flash should cease to exist. If the Codec Wars for HTML5 ever get resolved (Mozilla pushing for Ogg and everyone else pushing for H.264) I think that flash will go away like it deserves. And Apple will live or die without ever noticing your decision.

I have used many many Android phones. So far there's only one that I think is any good. The Motorola Droid. The rest are too quirky, and not polished enough for my tastes. Had the Droid been available when I got my first iPhone, chances are good that I may have purchased one instead.

I will admit it...
I have an iPhone :P
I love it.
It does what I want it to do very well.
Why does everybody have to be hatin all the time?

iOS 4 battery life blows goats. My 3GS used to go two or three days between charges, but it ate my whole battery, 100% to 6%, in the space of about nine hours last night. Steve Jobs had better put some boot to ass for this.

My 3G (original) battery is old and worn as it is, I haven't noticed much difference, but I only installed it a few hours ago, so...

Doesn't matter much, I'm upgrading to iPhone 4 shortly.

Still waiting impatiently for that fusion-cell powering our mobile handsets / pads for a lifetime.

Never been a phone guy but got the 3GS and love it. I bought a crossword app for 10 bucks. Have over 1k crosswords and daily updates are free. Also having a video camera always with me is handy.

So what exactly is then new one supposed to do better?

Got my iPhone4 today, loving the screen. For apps I will have to wait till I can get it home and sync it up with my backup.
